The Opportunity

The SVP,CFO will be accountable for leading the system in the execution of Broward Health’s financial performance goals in furtherance of its Mission, Vision, goals, philosophy and values. The incumbent will be responsible for the development, implementation and administration of system-wide financial plans, policies, programs and accounting processes and systems to achieve integrated strategic business objectives and outcomes that reflect fiscal integrity and ensure organizational success and compliance with finance and accounting standards, legal and regulatory guidelines and reporting requirements.

The SVP,CFO will work collaboratively with leadership to ensure initiatives and strategies are operationalized throughout the system to ensure results meet and improve upon the organization’s performance through a disciplined inclusive process.
The preferred candidate will have an established background in hospital system finance and record to include visionary leadership, exemplary financial management acumen and strategic agility. The SVP,CFO will champion and facilitate best practices throughout the organization to ensure Broward Health achieves and sustains market success as the healthcare environment evolves. The incumbent will establish and maintain credibility and trust leadership and proactively communicate and educate the organization of relevant healthcare trends, issues and strategies to facilitate system alignment and market success.

The position reports to the President/CEO.

* Articulate and model a management philosophy which creates an inclusive, effective, functional and accountable organization best suited to execute Broward Health’s Mission, Vision, values, strategies, goals and objectives;

* Demonstrate, understanding and take personal responsibility for key financial indicators of Broward Health;

* Develop and execute upon financial plans and priorities and maintain accountability and timeliness of performance goals;

* Serve as primary financial point of contact for Broward Health centralized financial support functions;

* Implement and execute policies and plans to direct and achieve both long-term and short-term objectives to create a working environment which focuses on patient, physician and employee engagement, regional performance, regulatory compliance and market success;

* Build and support an effective, collaborative, engaged and inclusive team with an emphasis on open, direct and productive communication to achieve organizational success;

* Exhibit a strong commitment to continual learning and education to support a an agile team responsive to transitioning market conditions;

* Direct efforts to ensure that policies and practices effectively support sound financial business practices;

* Model and reinforce ethical behavior in self and others in accordance with the Code of Conduct, organizational policies, procedures and guidelines, regulatory, legal and accrediting obligations;

* Ensure oversight for communication, implementation, enforcement, and monitoring, of regulatory obligations, compliance policies and practices;

Master’s Degree
CPA preferred

Minimum of ten (10) years healthcare finance management experience. CFO experience of a multi- facility healthcare organization highly preferred.
