Responsible for overall operations of the Centralized Access Center. The duties include creating and maintaining industry standard Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Strategic planning to duties in support of departmental efficiencies which may include: but not limited to performing scheduling, medical necessity checks, database maintenance and validation of changes, consistent monitoring of the Finesse system and any other duties as directed by Management.

Communicates with patients, physicians and their office staff, various units in the hospital, nursing and other personnel including; insurance companies, nursing homes and other health care institutions, to obtain and ensure the integrity of information to support the efficiency and accuracy for the Revenue Cycle with efforts to reduce errors in coding and billing. Also, to ensure accuracy of patient identity to reduce and help eliminate rejections and denials while following North Broward Hospital District standards of Care, provides world-class customer service compliance.

Responsible for educating and providing Patients with information relating to their scheduled appointment.  Informing the customer and/or the ordering physicians on required documentation and patient preparation elating to their appointment.

  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • 2 Years of Healthcare or Call center management experience
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred.  Ability to type at least thirty-five (35) w.p.m.  Strong understanding of Imaging procedures and the ability to coordinate the scheduling of multiple disciplinary exams
