Summary:
Provides advanced clinical knowledge in the management and care of central lines catheters, mid-lines, and peripheral lines. Serves as a resource for staff, patients, and families with regard to central lines catheters, mid-lines, and peripheral line therapy assessment, products, and troubleshooting. Collaborates with physicians, case managers, and nurses to identify patients needing mid to long-term vascular access devices.
Education:
Essential:
*Minimum Education and/or: Graduate of an accredited nursing school (AD in Nursing, RN Diploma, or BSN); or if attended an approved nursing school must have two years of recent acute care hospital experience in the past three years.
Certification/Registration:
American Vascular Association (AVA) or Infusion Nurses Society (INS)
Experience:
* Three years experience
Credentials:
* Registered Nurse
* PICC and midlines course
* Basic Life Support
* Membership for American Vascular Association
* Infusion Nurses Society
**Hire-On/Retention Bonus of $20,000.00** (2 year's experience required)
