Summary:

This position will develop and implement operational and business plans consistent with the mission and vision of Broward Health. Demonstrates and promotes Broward Health values, service excellence behaviors and continuous improvement.

This position will be responsible for the assigned district-wide surgical services and overlap of Non-Operating Room Anesthesia (NORA) services with reporting to BHIP CEO. The position will be responsible for the collaborative development and implementation of integrated operating plans and accountable to improve efficiency, throughput, reduce expense, and to grow volumes within Broward Health. Provides an atmosphere conducive to team development and professional growth for associates and works collaboratively with physicians. 

In partnership with the BHIP CEO, Ambulatory CEO, Service Line AVPs, Hospital CEOs, and contracted Anesthesia Medical Directors, and Chairs of the Dept of Surgery, this individual will execute the operational and strategic plan Surgical Services. This key leader will provide direction in the development and implementation of strategy and operations by leveraging organizational strengths and relationships to evaluate the existing structure to ensure the continued support for future growth of services and continuously adapt to regulatory, market, and patient preference demands. In addition, this position will serve as the leader for surgical services, leveraging enterprise programs and resources. Provides administrative oversight and direction of the overall operations of the surgical services in a dyad physician champion model. Partners with regional leaders, clinicians, and physicians to provide oversight of clinical and operational practices. This individual will play a key role in developing standardization and improvements in access as well as enhancing physician / patient engagement and improving patient and operational outcomes. This individual provides oversight over surgical services ensuring evidenced-based care and a data-driven approach towards quality and operational performance; metric driven, and policy/program driven.

From an enterprise perspective, plays a key role in the surgical services organizational structure, as noted below. In this regard, this individual will serve in a lead role in operational, quality, finance, and clinical committees.

* Seven-Ten (7-10) years of related experience in progressive growth, strategy and operations for surgical services.
