A. Education (or equivalent years of experience): Bachelor’s degree obtained through a formal 4-year program or additional years of experience.
B. Experience (or equivalent education): Ten or more years of related experience, Healthcare industry preferred, Managed teams or 10 or more in similar IT environments
D. Certification/Registration (preferred)
Virtualization platform certification (VMWare or similar)
SAN Certification (EMC or similar)
Networking Certification (Cisco or similar)
Application/Desktop Virtualization Certification (Citrix or similar)
AWS or Azure Certification preferred

1. Implementation and administration of Hyper-Converged and cloud infrastructure:
– Backbone networking
1. AWS and/or Azure architecture
2. Virtual Desktop Environment architecture
3. Expert hypervisor and server administration
2. MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT: Manages all support and maintenance
requirements of systems or end users in areas of accountability.
A. Establishes and maintains appropriate end user communication in order to understand the needs,
provide appropriate status updates, and assure issues are addressed for assigned business units.
B. Assures all systems are maintained at appropriate release levels to meet user needs and regulatory requirements, following proper software control practices.
C. Assures proper system monitoring occurs to minimize problems and to adequately project for future needs.
D. Assures all routine database or system maintenance is properly developed, tested, and implemented.
E. Assures proper change management activities are followed and documented.
F. Assures all production issues are expeditiously resolved.
G. Assures all appropriate needs for assigned business units are met.
H. Contributes to end user knowledge and effective use of systems by assuring that appropriate on-site visits, training events, or other related activities are accomplished.
I. Assures appropriate customer service and cooperation is provided to all customers, internal and

K. Assures appropriate cross-coverage is implemented.
L. Assures appropriate after-hours support is provided.
M. Assures proper system security is implemented, maintained, and audited in areas of responsibility, including meeting HIPAA, auditor, or other regulatory requirements.
3. RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: Manages employee through coaching, appraising
A. Manages employee performance through coaching, appraising and motivating.
B. Assures appropriate depth of skills exists in order to provide cross system coverage and minimize
impacts of employee leave or terminations.
C. Within budget limitations, works with staff to develop and implements education plan to increase staff skills.
D. Assures required payroll activities are appropriately completed and on time.
E. Assures direct reports are appropriately updated with information disseminated from the department management and District management.
F. Recruits staff as required with appropriate skills and in manner consistent with NBHD policies.
G. Assures effective use of resources to satisfy meet project goals, and deadlines.
4. VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Develops and cultivates appropriate relationships
A. Assists with contract negotiations as required.
B. Assures appropriate and timely vendor escalation and resolution occurs when needed.
C. Coordinates site visits as required.
D. Coordinates new product and product enhancement demonstrations as appropriate.
E. Assists with validating and processing vendor invoices as required.
F. Reviews support and maintenance requirements and works with vendors to provide adequate
coverage while working to minimize expenses.
G. Develops and manages accurate revenue/expense forecasting and budgeting reports.
H. Budget for line accountability areas maintained within 2% annually of flexed budget.
I. Explanation provided for favorable variances >2%.
J. Successful action plans implemented for unfavorable variances >2%.
5. PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP: Provides accurate and timely project or group
status reports, budget variance documentation, or other requested
A. Maintains knowledge of general industry technologies and trends.
B. Maintains knowledge of assigned business unit processes.
C. Maintains knowledge of technologies, software, and trends that affect assigned business units.
D. Provides appropriate strategies and recommendations on technology and software options related to assigned business units and general department activities.
E. Develops and continually enhances appropriate desktop and general IS utility skills.
F. Alerts top management of issues or situations that are substantially out of line in sufficient time to
allow for appropriate action to be taken.
G. Represents the Information Services department and supports it’s goals in a positive, professional manner to employees, vendors, and external customers.
