This position will develop operational and business plans consistent with the mission and vision of Broward Health.  Demonstrates and promotes Broward Health values, service for excellence behaviors and continuous improvement.

The VP Clinically Integrated Orthopedic Services will be responsible for multiple hospital Orthopedic Service lines and reporting to Corporate.  They will be responsible for the collaborative development and implementation of the operating plans within the regional medical centers.  This position will be accountable for managing the cost, quality and service within the regional medical centers.  Provides an atmosphere conducive to team development and professional growth for associates with in the medical centers. Demonstrates and promotes corporate values, service excellence behaviors and continuous improvement.   Support adherence to BH’s compliance and ethics program, policies, procedures and Code of Conduct. 

This is a newly structured role designed to support the overall quality and growth initiatives of orthopedic services across the clinic enterprise. This individual will be given the tools to advance the service line and personally grow within this role.

In partnership with the COO and regional CEOs, this individual will execute on the operational and strategic plan for the Orthopedic Service Line.  This key leader will provide direction in the development of strategy by leveraging organizational strengths and relationships to evaluate the existing structure to ensure the continued support for future growth in orthopedic services.  In addition, this position will serve as the leader for the orthopedic and neurosurgical service line, leveraging BH trauma and orthopedics program, rehabilitation locations, GME and specialty orthopedic programs.  Provides administrative oversight and direction of the overall operation of the orthopedic and neuro-spine service line.  Partners with regional leaders, clinicians and physicians to provide oversight of clinical and operational practices.  This individual will play a key role in developing a robust orthopedic service line, enhancing physician engagement and improving orthopedic outcomes. 

This individual provides oversight over the orthopedic and neurosurgical service line ensuring evidenced based care and a hyper-focused, data driven approach towards quality and operational performance; metric driven, policy/program driven.  


From a system perspective, plays a key role in the orthopedics service line structure, as noted below.  In this regard, this individual will serve in a lead role in operational, quality, finance and clinical committees.
 

Bachelor’s Degree obtained through a formal 4 year program is required.  7 years of related experience is required.
