Summary: The Business Applications Analyst works closely with Professional Billing Revenue Cycle operations, IT staff, and Broward Health Leaders in an effort to better understand an organization's processes and workflows. Key responsibilities include coordinating with Information Systems and Revenue Cycle operations on deployment, developing data analysis and reconciliation strategies, and leading troubleshooting support on new programs.

EPIC Professional Billing Certificate preferred

EPIC Experience preferred in Professional Billing, Charge Router, Claims

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Epic Analyst experienced in implementing, configuring, and maintaining business application systems.
  • Conduct testing to ensure that systems meet functional and performance requirements.
  • Analyze revenue cycle workflows and processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Offer ongoing support to address user questions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth system operation.
  • Responsible for extracting and analyze data from business systems to support decision-making, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Continuously monitoring system performance and user feedback
  • Propose and implement system enhancements to improve usability, efficiency, and billing outcomes.
  • Ensuring that business systems comply with healthcare regulations (such as HIPAA in the United States) and implementing security measures to protect patient data are critical responsibilities.
  • Participate in IT projects related to professional billing, from initial planning through to implementation and evaluation.

Skills:

Familiarity with Revenue Cycle applications, Professional Billing and general healthcare IT.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for training and support.

Problem-resolution skills: with the ability to quickly diagnose problems, and develop, test, and implement appropriate and effective solutions in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

A background in healthcare, IT, or a related field.

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience preferred.

Certification in relevant areas (like healthcare IT) may be beneficial.
