Broward HealthPoint is seeking to employ an experienced and team-oriented Internal or Family Medicine physician to provide clinical care in an outpatient patient practice. 

Primary Care Physician Essential Responsibilities

  • Fully engaged in the concept of “Integrated team-based care” model
  • Focusing on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention
  • Demonstrates both autonomy and proficiency in performance of comprehensive health assessments and communicates Plan of Care with Patients and/or their families.
  • Proficient in diagnosing, treating and managing the Medicare Advantage population with multiple comorbidities.
  • Effectively communicates with all members of the care team and facilitates a medically appropriate and effective plan of care to avoid unnecessary duplication of testing, and fragmentation of care.
  • Observes the scope of practice in the state in which he or she is licensed and working in.

Schedule Requirement

  • This is a FULL-TIME position.
  • Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • Ability to use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to document patient encounters.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 Coding and STAR measure attainments
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve complex and multifaceted situations.
  • Strong organizational, and task prioritization skills

Education/Experience

  • Medical Doctorate (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.); Family Medicine, Internal Medicine.
  • Medical License in the state of Florida
  • Active DEA License
  • Up-to-date CPR Certification (BLS, ACLS, and PALS)
